Terms of Service
These Terms are a contract between you and WI for the WI app, wivo.to, and wivo.chat (together, the “Services”). By creating an account or using WI, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use WI
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country, if higher). If you are under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms. You are responsible for your account and for keeping sign-in details secret.
2. The Services
WI lets you watch and publish short-form clips and photos on Spark, post Stories, send Echoes, fire content you like, message and call in encrypted Chat, and use WI Coins. Features may change, pause, or differ by country or device.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of content you create. You grant WI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (for example transcode video), communicate, and display that content as needed to operate the Services, including showing it to the audience you chose.
You represent that you have the rights to post what you post (including music, faces, and trademarks) and that it does not violate the law or someone else’s rights.
You can delete clips or your account. Cached or backup copies may take a short time to disappear. Public content may remain on other people’s devices if they already saved or recorded it.
4. Community rules
Do not use WI to:
- Post illegal content, including child sexual abuse material (zero tolerance — we will report and preserve as required by law).
- Harass, threaten, dox, or incite violence.
- Spam, scam, impersonate, or manipulate engagement.
- Infringe copyright, trademarks, or other IP. We respond to valid takedown notices.
- Upload malware, scrape the service in a way that harms it, or probe our systems without permission.
- Sell or transfer your account, or buy engagement.
We may remove content, limit features, suspend, or terminate accounts that break these rules or the law. You can report content from the clip rail (Report) or by emailing support@wivo.to.
5. WI Coins
Coins are virtual items for use inside WI. They have no cash value outside the app unless we say so in writing. Purchases are billed by Apple or Google under their store terms. Mining and bonuses can be changed or revoked if we detect abuse. We may freeze a wallet that we reasonably believe is fraudulent.
6. Chat and calls
Chat is end-to-end encrypted as described in the Privacy Policy. Encryption does not excuse illegal use. Do not send content that is unlawful. We may still act on reports using account and metadata we can access.
7. Our rights
WI, the wi mark, Spark, and related branding are ours. You may not copy the app, reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or use our marks without permission.
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that WI will be uninterrupted or error-free.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WI’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR WI COINS IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50. THIS DOES NOT LIMIT LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER YOUR LOCAL LAW (INCLUDING FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, OR FRAUD).
8. Termination
You may stop using WI and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we shut down the product. Sections that should survive (including licenses already exercised, coins already consumed, and limitation of liability) will survive.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, give additional notice where required. If you continue to use WI after the new Terms take effect, you accept them.
